Hi! I am Dr. Devang
Hello! I'm Dr. Devang Shah, a homeopathic physician living in Mumbai. I am passionate about practicing homeopathy, and enjoy helping children achieve better health. My patients appreciate my approachable nature, and I enjoy providing a comforting environment for children to begin their healing journey. Along with pediatric cases I have developed skills in treating musculoskeletal diseases ( like rheumatoid arthritis, frozen shoulders, sciaticas, carpel tunnel syndrome, chronic neck and back pain etc ). Providing relief to patients of their pain gives me immense satisfaction and joy.
I graduated from Dhondumama Sathe (D.S.) Homeopathic Medical College in 2008 and completed my post-graduate studies in Organon of Homeopathy in 2012. As an honorary consultant at Sana Hospital in Pune, I have been assisting Dr. Sujit Chatterjee at BAPS Hospital Ahmedabad, working with both rheumatoid arthritis and cancer cases.
I'm deeply committed to enhancing my skills and knowledge. I've traveled to Switzerland to learn polarity analysis directly from Dr. Heiner Frei, a well-known figure in pediatric homeopathy, and I also apply innovative methods from Dr. Rajan Sankaran and meditative techniques from Dr. Jayesh Shah. As a teaching faculty member at The Other Song - International Academy of Advanced Homoeopathy in Mumbai, I enjoy helping students by sharing my straightforward approach to finding remedies. I also had the opportunity to contribute to drug research (carbon dioxide) at the academy.
When I first started studying homeopathy, I wasn’t fully convinced about its effectiveness. However, everything changed in my third year, back in 2006. A friend’s mother came to me, asking if I could help with her chronic allergic cold, which had been bothering her for years. Since homeopathy is known for being gentle and free of side effects, I decided to give it a try.
I prescribed a few doses of Ammonium Carbonicum 30C, and to my surprise, her cold disappeared almost like magic. Even more amazing, she hasn’t had a cold since. This experience opened my eyes to the power of homeopathy, particularly its ability to offer long-term relief and even cure chronic conditions. It was that moment that solidified my belief in homeopathy.
I live in Mumbai with my wonderful wife and son, and in my free time, you’ll often find me watching cricket (especially when India plays!) or reading homeopathic Materia Medica. Switzerland is my favorite holiday spot—there’s something magical about the fresh mountain air. Recently, I've been focusing on the benefits of diet and exercise, guiding my patients toward healthy lifestyle choices to minimize their reliance on medication. As a doctor, I’ve always been drawn to methods that help patients become less dependent on medications. Homeopathy is one such approach. To me, Ammonium Carbonicum was like the apple to Newton—it was the turning point in my life and choose homeopathy as a profession.
